I recently spent a few days shooting on the Isle of Harris. My visit coincided with the tail end of Hurricane Gonzalo hit the UK, the 60-70 mph gusts of winds presented some major challenges, however I did find this beach which was slightly protected from the worst of the winds & the waves.
Later in the evening, with the skies clearing I moved to another beach looking north across the Sound of Taransay. Beautiful views but very exposed and several times I was left standing in knee deep sea water holding onto my tripod wondering how my insurance company would view this behavior.
